Providing holistic learning support, digital smart classes, textbooks, and nutrition kits to underprivileged children in government schools and rural bastis.
Programme Overview & Objectives
Project Shiksha Jyoti is Samarpan Foundation's flagship educational initiative designed to bridge the alarming learning deficit among first-generation school-goers in marginalised communities. Through community learning centres, after-school remedial tutoring, and STEM kits, our trained educators ensure that children do not drop out and achieve age-appropriate literacy and numeracy.
The programme also addresses hidden barriers to schooling such as lack of clean sanitary facilities for adolescent girls, absence of nutritious mid-day snacks, and lack of guidance for competitive school entrance exams. We work hand-in-hand with School Management Committees (SMCs) and local Panchayats to ensure lasting community ownership.
Key Activities & Interventions
Daily remedial tuition, smart classrooms, digital tablet labs, distribution of school kits, quarterly health checkups, parent counselling workshops.
Measurable Outcomes & Field Impact
94% pass rate in Board examinations; over 12,400 children retained in mainstream schooling with zero dropouts among girl students.
